New Services from SCOPE

Face2Face is a parent befriending service for parents of disabled children. It is an established service and has schemes running across the country Funding has been made available to develop a scheme on the Isle of Wight. Parents of disabled children often refer to the need for the type of emotional support that can be offered by another parent who has had a similar experience - the Face2Face scheme enables this to happen within a supportive structure. Discussions locally have also indicated support for the development of this service by professionals working with parents or visit  www.scope.org.uk
For further information contact Scope - freephone 0808 800 333

Sleep Solutions is managed by Scope, the disability charity and offers a free service to parents who are having problems with their child’s sleep.  Sleep deprivation can have a devastating effect on families. Disabled children are more likely to have sleep problems than other children. Often there are simple measures that can be put into place to help to overcome the difficulty.
Sleep Solutions provides one-to-one support to families of disabled children and young people with additional support needs and severe sleep problems in the United Kingdom. We have sleep services in many areas of the country, in areas where parents cannot access one to one support we offer an online/telephone service.
